The Bookkeeper

I'm the bookkeeper, the keeper of books, I keep track of them all, the nooks and the crooks. I know where they are, each and every one, From the fiction to the non, from the new to the done.

I'm the one who keeps the library in line, I make sure the books are all neat and fine. I help the students find the books they need, And I always have a book to read.

I'm the storyteller, the one who brings, The magic of stories to students on wings. I read to them, I tell them tales, Of faraway lands, and of whales.

I help them learn to love to read, And to use their imaginations, to sow their seed. I show them the power of words, And how they can open up worlds.
